Wedding and canoë...

With my dance club, we've been invited to dance for the wedding of a minister's son, in a little village called Bazou, 2 hours driving from Dschang.
unfortunately, the day we had to leave, the bus that had to take us couldn't, and we endend up calling a cab for the 11 of us. imagine, 12 people in a 5 seats car! (plus the luggage...). I think i beat the record...

finally arrived in Bazou, happy to discover the city hall and...to be able to move!

after a night spent at 4 in one bed, a good breakfast made of beignets, beans, and rice mush to start the D-Day!

and we are ready to follow the married couple and dance for them!

these picture should be up, the night at 4 in a bed..

and now, dance for the party! (ok i dont have many pictures but great videos that i cant upload here :(

local dishes

at 4am, back to the house where we are hosted, and 2 hours sleep on the floor...

... before getting back in the cab... with the DJ! this time we beat the record: 13 people (+ luggage) in a 5 seats car! how? 3 in the trunkk, 5 on the the middle seat, 4 in the front, and the luggage on the roof...

and see the car's state...

after that, i deserve a nice and lazy day canoeïng with friends on the lake and diving in the swimming pool.

... and to finish the day: my favourite local dish: Poulet DG (for "Directeur Général") :)
(grilled chicken with plantains, carotts, tomatoes and green beans)

miscellaneous

isn't it funny to see so many computers in my office, after i said that i didn't have one anymore?
actually, my own laptop had a virus, a dead battery and was over-full, but it works more or less now. a colleague also lent me one, and my boss brought one from france. so now, i'm trying to transfer and save all my data, reason why you can see 4 laptops and lots of cables!

as i forgot to show the clothes i made here (just 1 example, i have mays 4 of them now :)

Clothilde, a volunteer, is moving. carrying furniture like fridge, cupboard, beds and tables with just one 4WD was an experience!

especially when the furniture dont go throuth the staircase and that you have to drop it from the balcony!

local child toy

sugar canes, very appreciated by kids as by adults:

peanuts:

you're never bored when you drive behind a bike! (same for cars and buses actually)

Blog updated !!!

Yes, i finally got a new laptop, and can have access to my blog.
I just posted all the pictures that the articles needed. there is only one last problem: i cant move them... so its a bit disorganized, but with a bit of patience and imagination you should be able to enjoy it!
ill fix the problem later, probably when im back in France with a good connexion...

Hiking around Dschang

These last weekends, i didnt feel like travelling. the weathere was pretty good in Dschang, and i spent most of my weekends either diving or hiking.
